Member cuts and promotions round 2.Well I suppose its that time again. We have been looking at cutting inactive memberships. The criteria being that the member has a social club account but no account here on these forums, or they have an account here but have never made a post. I've just completed those cuts. Which has taken us from a crew with 401 members down to 152. If anyone happens to login and notice that "oh shit, I've been kicked!" they are still welcome to reapply to our crew. We have done this so we can more easily keep track of who is who within our membership, and this prepares us for future recruitment. I'm sure we've all noticed that we get a little dead from time to time. We've been coasting for a while now on our current membership and it's time that we began some active recruitment efforts once again. To help focus on this we will have a probationary crew to handle new folks. You can find it on Social Club at Rusty Flywheels. The purpose of this is to handle any random folks that we may not be familiar with who want to join our meetups. This crew will be open, but we will set it to invite only before each meetup. This way if we end up with a new member who decides to get out of line we will have the ability to instantly remove them from the session. This gives us the ability to invite new people to meetup with out sacrificing our ability to moderate the session should it be required. Why would we need this? We were once holding meetups with the NODO crew pretty regularly. We ran signups between two forums. I plan to do this again, but instead of the NODO boards we will have additional signup threads at GTAForums. Much like it was done in the past before we blew up on Social Club. When folks show interest there, they will be directed to the Rusty Flywheels crew. If they seem like super cool dudes, we will shoot them an invite to BULL after a bit and make them full members. Meetups would be posted here first. Once the event organizer feels they have gotten all of the response they are going to get from these boards, we will launch another topic at GTAF and advertise the amount of slots we still have available for the meetup. This allows us to fill meets up to 30 players, still have control over the situation at those meetups, and allows us to recruit new people while getting to know them in the game. While I was setting this up today it occurred to me that there were a few folks I was seeing that could use a kick up the ladder. So congrats to our new LT's... kingdozer TheBritishDerp Da7K MrToreno LassyKongo KissMyAssets And our new Crew Rep... xxmrb00mb00mxx Interested to hear any thoughts or concerns on these developing developments. Thanks all!

Toreno, I liked your post... but I hope they iced that finger and got it sewn back on straight. Seems like there is a story there.

Awesome, Thanks! Do these new ranks carry over to this new Rusty Flywheel crew? NudgeNudge And for this 'SKATE FAST EAT ASS' meet, Will we be required to switch to FLYS, or is there a way to get both that and BULL in the same session?

It will be a two crew session for BULL and FLYS to congregate together on. FLYS is mainly there for those who want to join BULL. They have to pass some trials, hazing, etc.

Awesome, Thanks! Do these new ranks carry over to this new Rusty Flywheel crew? NudgeNudge And for this 'SKATE FAST EAT ASS' meet, Will we be required to switch to FLYS, or is there a way to get both that and BULL in the same session? If you want to be a part of the probie crew as well I can shoot you up to LT in it. We'll need a few volunteers to help manage it in meetups that I don't happen to be a part of here or there. Its completely up to you though. The crew is open so you can join it at anytime. As Soil said, nobody in BULL needs to join FLYS. We can have a closed crew session with both crews. The FLYS crew just gives us the ability to try out new people without having them join BULL directly. Again the whole point is so we can keep control of our meetup sessions. If we let randoms into a session all sporting different crews the only way it could work would be a private session, which is a pain in the ass. Also, the host would have no ability to kick problem meetup attendees without a vote to kick. With the FLYS crew, if someone in it is out of line I can just alt tab and ban them. At that point they are forced out of the session immediately.
