I've never used teamspeak but I'm sure I can get the hang of it! It's quite simple, nothing to really get used to. You just put in the address and pass in, then double click on a room to join. Like I said, if everything goes well, The Bullshifters are welcome to be permanent guests on the server. Not sure how that Razer Comms went for you guys, most people prefer and use TS, especially if the server is well put together, which ours is.

I used it a bit (Only the text chat though.. Is teamspeak only voice chat and the text is still done through game? Also what's the address?

My only strife with using a third party program is just that my PC can barely handle running GTA (on lowest settings ) in the first place and I'm not sure my CPU will be willing and able to juggle more than one client at a time. I'll try to get a trial run of them both going before the meet but I may have to resort to using only the in-game functionality provided. Please don't let me deter you all from using TS if that's ends up being the case. Really quite excited for this meet tho ;x Edit for Jamie up above: I'm fairly certain that TS offers both voice and text chat although I'm not sure if an in-game overlay is possible with it so I don't think the text portion has much of a purpose unless you're out of game and just hanging out and sharing links and such (or just don't have a mic).

Some people do use TS without a mic and use the ingame text, which works alright.

Being in something like TS helps for getting people together and reinviting after disconnects and lobby splits. Edit: Turn what off?

Sure thing, that was the point of the Razer comms too and it did work but not everyone was on it.. I was just making sure you still used the in game text chat and didn't turn it off or anything for those that dont have mics

It would make things so much easier. People are just lazy enough to download and use it I think once you set up the address and pass the first time, its just takes you one click each time you want to sign in. We will have our own room for the meet or mixed with NODO members. Its better if we are all on same room for this coming meet.

I hate to be the person that seems to not know anything, but I am fairly new to gaming on PC, so, what exactly is teamspeak? Never heard it before, and would like a bit of an explanation of what the app does and how it would operate in the background.
Edit: I also do not have a working mic, had one for PS4, but that doesn't really work anymore.

There will be a specific channel for this meet that we will all join, yes. If you become permanent guests on the server, then you would just use the same channels everyone else uses when there isn't a meet going on. Think Skype, but better in every way and not sh*t. You connect to a server, then you join a channel and start chatting. It's very simple to use. Not having a mic doesn't really matter. Hearing is the big thing. That allows people like me, ed, and jamie to direct others without having to sit and type for 5 min every time we need to do something.
