FiveM is finally working stable enough. It doesn't connect to R* online at all so it's safe to play. We could do anything we want with however many players the server could handle. Use any mod, any cars, any trainers we want.  Downsides are: no action replay, no R* online type jobs or races and you can't use your character from R* online. That may change with time but for now we already can do things like ride through Los Santos in blackout with christmas mode and traffic disabled. Drifting is pretty easy to do now: gfycat.com/NecessaryRealJellyfishgfycat.com/MeagerFlickeringCurThose who were banned from R* online can join as well. Here's how to get it: wiki.fivem.net/wiki/Running_FiveMDownload FiveM trainer from here: fivemtools.com and put it in plugins folder in your FiveM folder. Then run FiveM.exe as administrator. Any trainer will work but this one was designed specifically for it. To use it press F1 and use numpad to select options. |

I would be all for it. I'm personally pretty disgusted with GTA:O anymore. I'd rather use something that Rockstar and Take 2 doesn't profit from.

Is it still possible that Rockstar will ban you for playing on FiveM? If I remember reading correctly from somewhere, a couple of months ago when R* banned the FiveM devs SC accounts they also banned people who had been playing on the server with the devs. Not sure if it was true or not, but I would personally like to be absolutely sure that I don't need to spend 60€ on the again so that I play it  |

There are dozens of people playing it now and the numbers will keep growing so it's too late for R* to be banning those who play it. You can sign in with a different social club account into FiveM if you are that paranoid. The only thing R* sees is that you're playing single player and can't detect anything since FiveM client files are in the separate folder. Cracked versions might also work so R* can just piss off completely.

I'm kinda curious as well. Getting a little tired of being blown to bits, set on fire, and having a UFO spawned on me each time I enter a public lobby. The only good thing about the explosions is that I don't have to pay for more cars to be repaired.
Though I am still concerned about the ban hammer action. R* tends to lie in wait for stuff like this, if it uses story mode as a mask, it could still be peeled back to see what is going on. They see story mode being used as an antithesis to Online, R*, or really Take-Two, has incentive to take action against 5M server...
I don't know, color me paranoid, but I'm not too sure about it considering recent history that Take-Two has taken with servers like this, despite R* being okay with 5M existing.

Devs had to shut it down because Take Two sued them. We missed our chance. Maybe someone will revive it one day.

I was able to play the drifting server for a bit last week. Haven't been on since then and just heard about the shutdown. That sucks...

i was playing a drift server last week, tried to launch it today and there was an update, says im missing files now, may have to redownload it or something
