Is there anyone else that has been trying to download the update since they got home from work this afternoon? Milfrah has her PC sitting right next to mine. She has the same internet connection. Same security settings, same everything. We are on the same bloody network. She has the Steam version of the game. She downloads updates in minutes. Meanwhile I sit here and hit retry every couple of minutes because the Social Club version of the game can't maintain a connection to it's own download servers. What the actual fuck?

Yeah even though I have pretty decent internet, it definitely took much much longer than it should have to download that update yesterday. I find that the download speeds fluctuate greatly and are usually very underwhelming and sometimes just intermittent altogether with social club.

Hmm strange, I have a pretty decent internet too and I had no problems to download the update yesterday the Social Club version. It was just as fast as ever.

I just had my computer on and it did it itself.. didn't even notice. Is the update any good? Haven't even tried it yet.

About the only substantial thing for me was that I noticed you can finally place a hard top roof on the convertible stallion in LSC. I have heard tale though that R* patched the ability to glitch fenders and spoilers off of certain cars... cause, you know. That was totally game breaking. I ended up actually having to re-install my game. The update broke it. I couldn't even load the single player portion. I was able to get it working by overwriting my game directory with some files that I had backed up before the patch. Of course that meant redownloading the patch... That time I could get into my game, but the graphics were fuct. Luckily I found that if I change my IP address by hiding behind a VPN the Social Club downloader actually works. I went from not being able to download a few hundred megabytes to being able to download 10 plus gigabytes of patches in about 30 min. Used a Washington DC IP. Apparently those guys get the hook up. Anyway, after uninstalling GTA V, re-installing from the discs, hiding behind a VPN and then re-downloading every patch... my game finally seems to be working. Sweet.
