I don't usually do this kinda thing, but it seems a bit concerning, especially when one is trying to grind for cash, because screw cashcards for small in-game purchases. Did anyone else notice a significant decrease in cash when doing a mission by themselves? Because I sure did, while I was doing some race-grinding. Usually, if a race runs into the 8 minute range, the game then just gives the maximum payout of $8,408. But as I was just doing some short races I noticed as I was going along, that the number started to decrease despite their being no change to the time bracket. So I decided to test this and just sat for about 10-minutes before crossing the line, again, in a solo race, and the max is decreased from $8,408 to $4,448. By my calculations that is a 48% decrease in possible money earned in a solo mission. I also noticed that the RP gained from solo races were down as well, but I never really paid much attention to that, so yeah. But I want to make sure it is not just me experiencing this (if it is just me, I guess I'll have to submit a ticket -_-).
The main reason this is a concern is that I plan on training up my second character through this method, just as I did with my primary, until I could get into some serious missions without being blown to smithereens.
If you do notice the difference, please let me know.
Thanks

I know an almost full race pays out a ton and even more if it goes for a long time but I never tried solo racing unless I'm testing a track. I think grinding heists is a much more efficient way of cashing up. But then you do have the human factor there so.. but yeah my money is on it being an intentional change, but I'm no authority on it so I may be wrong.. good luck either way!

Well, that really sucks... What could they possibly gain by nerfing RP?
I know R* needs to make money, but this is getting to the point of gouging, and I don't see a positive response coming when others see this change. But as always, thanks dude.

I have no idea but like I said, I'm no expert so I might be wrong.

I noticed the other day when I was doing contact missions to get some quick cash. Payouts have definitely been decreased. The amount seems to vary for contact missions. I know I was surprised when a Lester mission only paid out 8k. Another issue is a good chunk of the missions are gone from the pause menu. Makes grinding that much more tedious when there is less options... I'm hoping mission removal was accidental. However I can about guarantee the nerfing was completely with purpose. I've become pretty numb to it now. I don't care if it takes me a year to get something. I'm done giving money to Rockstar. That's my personal stance on it, anyway.

I did find that more people were aware of the disappearing act of many missions, including Rooftop Rumble, after this past update. There is a work around and that work around is to do the mission again. I did also notice several deathmatches, races, and other activities had gone missing, unless they were bookmarked. Don't know if it was intentional or not as their was no mention of the disappearing missions, lowered cash, and lowered RP, in the patchnotes, though it is entirely possible they left that out because of possible backlash. But glad I'm not the only one seeing this. And really? A Lester mission only gave you $8K? I usually get around $20K. That is a far significant decrease than what I noticed from the races. I may need to investigate. Thanks for the information Ed.

I hate to keep bumping this, but I think I have a few ideas as to what happened with the decrease in money and RP last night. So, I have already done a few races tonight, and both money and RP levels are back to normal. And yeah, RP was being sapped yesterday as well, by about 60%. Never had RP go into the triple the triple digit range (unless on Criminal Records) since I got to be over level 100. But seems everything is back to normal, as I am getting the right amount of cash and RP after each race.
So my theory is either 1) the sessions I and Ed were in were bugged with a rare glitch, or 2) had too many people in free mode in that server. If it is the former, hopefully that won'y happen again as I got jipped from over $80,000 in that session. If it was the latter, then it is certainly something server side, and that is not surprising as many are missing missions, items, weapons, cars, and a few have apartments missing. Along with a really buggy AI and laggy spawns for the new aircraft locations. Oh, and a bug that causes Merryweather to attack some players randomly when they call Pegasus for a vehicle. So, this past update, considering the litany of new bugs that were created with all the fixing R* did, may not have been the best to release in its current state as some of the freemode activities tend to not work properly on occasion.
Again, sorry for bumping this topic, again, but I wanted to share the conclusion of my investigation in this manner. Ed, if you are missing missions, there is a bit of a workaround, though it is a total pain in the arse. You may just have to call the contact to do the mission over, it should then show up once more. I hope this little incident was just a rare bug.
Cheers

Glad they are looking into it. Didn't have the issue myself, but I can see it being a pain.
