So, going to start making a playlist for an upcoming meet, no official time yet, and was wondering, what real world tracks would you like to see on a racing playlist?
I already have:
Now, I haven't searched for these others, and am not sure if some even exist in the GTA-verse, but if there is one you want to add to the list, I'd be very grateful to add it to the list. Also, please give suggestions on play order for these races, I'm kinda trying to set it up like a Championship type playlist.
As always, thanks for y'all's input! Hope to see you at the races.
Edit: List has been updated, was unable to find BRNO, Dubai, and Rouen, but the rest do check out. The actual track names do differ since it is GTA, but I hope you all will be pleased with it. Now on to getting new details for the meet. Stay tuned ya'll!
Edit 2:
Testing the tracks and how they flow came up with a few difficulties and inaccuracies with each track; Red Font = consideration for deletion
Nürburgring: Start line was moved from a previous version starts in a less awkward spot, but instead of a left turn at start, there is a right turn. But the rest is all good.
Monaco: Good remake in my opinion
Laguna Seca: Another good remake
Willow Springs: Near unavoidable stacked ramps at the beginning, and an invisible object on the straight. Because of this I may just strike this off the list. 10-person max
Suzuka: Name doesn't show up since it was translated from Japanese. Another is a turn is somewhat blind and you can't really tell where the next checkpoint is, and there is a narrow jump into a chicane section. But a much better track than Willow. No broken objects. I do have a longer version that I could use as well, but not as accurate on the map. This is also the 8-person maximum race
Monza: Good remake, just watch out when going on the highway, and going into the tunnel near Pillbox Hospital, otherwise, good remake.
Mount Panorama: A solid remake
Spa: Not an entirely accurate remake, but a good one non the less.
Silverstone: Another decent remake, only complaint is that it isn't flat, but there are no LARGE areas that are flat, at least not large enough for Silverstone
Road America: Don't like how short this is. It took half the time to complete a lap unlike on other games, like NFS Shift, where it can take 3 minutes to complete a single lap. On this one it took about 1 minute and 20 seconds with a stock Sabre. May replace with Ed's race that we did during the NoDo meet.
If all races are kept, it should take about an hour to complete the list, but with the possibility of making over $50,000 in one of the top positions.
Please let me know if you have any tracks that would work better than the ones in red. Be it Real World, or a RL-esque GP track (no jumps). I will keep you updated as I get closer to posting the event, got some IRL stuff to deal with before getting the meet truly put together.
