I don't mind mods in meets personally, but I do think they should be limited to convenient repairs and modifications (especially things like vehicle extras/Benny's wheels that aren't otherwise possible). Save the screwing around and spawning stuff until after the meet ends. That being said, I also think it should be left to the discretion of the meet host, rather than a general rule.
As for public sessions, I seem to have incredible luck because I rarely run into modders, and the few occasions that I do, they're usually benign. I've been playing Online since day one and I've only ever had two sessions where I had props stuck to my character, and I've never been kicked out of my own vehicle/spammed with explosions/etc.

Whenever I get into a public lobby, there is always that one guy that blows everyone up until they get bored and terminates most everyone's connection... Quite a bit of a pain, only reason why I'm in solo or private sessions... The only time I'm not against using trainers in Online is when it is used to fix cars because sometimes, you just don't want to drive all the way to LSC.

Rockstar really needs to introduce a "mobile mechanic" feature. Make a phone call and fix your vehicle. Done.

Rockstar really needs to introduce a "mobile mechanic" feature. Make a phone call and fix your vehicle. Done. So much agree on this. It would make everybody's life easier, and it really shouldn't be that hard to implement. And since they want us to spend a lot of money in GTA Online, they might as well just make it cost a little bit more than fixing your car in LSC. Not something like 50 times more, but just a little more than what the usual cost is

On topic, the rules have been updated thanks to input from everyone in this thread, and thanks to Ashy_GB who took it on to write up many of the offenses noted in the new Online Rules portion. You can view them here!Once again, if anyone spots something that may have been overlooked please let me know. I'm going to leave them up here for a bit before I announce the revision on Social Club.

What about getting force booted from the game and its application? <- this has happened nearly each time with public lobbies for me

- Thanks.

I think I dealt with this same guy like a month or two ago. I think he should go to jail because is illegal to impersonate anyone.

I'll make this reply short and sweet. You seen me as "ROCKSTAR DEV" in that lobby for one big reason. Another modder was griefing and they asked me to join and resolve it. You joined in late. Grizzley (or whatever his name was) Knows and knew I wasn't a dev. Because after the griefer was dealt with I explained I'm not a DEV. Not to mention roughly 10 minutes late I rejoined with a different name (Jesus, OR SATAN I forget.) My stats were not modded on PC. I did that back on PS3 when the rank was first lifted to 8k and never got demoted. I understand that you may be a bit upset. But I was not griefing, nor did I effect any other players. I stayed with my friends and ignored chat 99% of the time. Kudos for being a spy detective. I'll be back tonight if you wish to flame me, Ban me or whatever go ahead. After all unless you know the reasons I was named ROCKSTAR DEV you can't really get pissy. It takes a good modder to stop a bad one when R* doesn't know how to properly ban someone.

The issue for us is that you left your BULL tag active while you were modding. I recognize that you were not griefing, which is why you are not banned. I sent you a warning and directed you here. We have revised our rules because of this situation. I'm not going to tell you what you can or can't do with the game you purchased. I'm also not going to attempt to manage the risks that you are taking by modding the game online. What I will ask is that you disable our crew tag while you do it so the public doesn't see a modder with "BULL" in big capital letters next to their name. At the end of the day it's just a compromise we are making. You may retain membership and come out to meets, participate in the forums. It's all cool so long as you don't represent us when you chose to mod the game in a public lobby.

I understand the ROCKSTAR DEV thing, and I'll take your word for it as there are a lot of trainers that can rename a person in a lobby, kinda the same with the blame feature. But what gets me is why you STILL have an 8K rank. It makes it worse for me that you did it yourself on PS3, because it was people like you that made the game unplayable, both online and off, because modders were using their "powers" to not only "modify" players online with explosions, meteors, and other archived and created objects, but also archived so many things into storymode that the game became virtually unplayable. You may not have been one of the people that griefed others, but you still level and stat boosted, along with unlocking several platinum awards that are not possible with your play time. It is more of a matter you chose not to put the work into your character that gets me, you never worked for it! It reflects poorly on you yourself in real life. So, forgive me, if I can't trust you! Until you get your rank, stats, and awards reset, don't expect a warm welcome from me.

"How to fix hackers in GTA online??? MORE HACKERS!!!" Because fighting fire with fire always works well and totally doesn't make the problem worse! Since we're keeping things "short and sweet", I won't go into detail about everything wrong with what you just said.
