In GTA, there's only so far you can go in terms of making your car unique. The best way is by paint combination and even then that area is very limited too.
With the lowrider DLC R* re-activated the ability to make custom or 'modded' crew colours via the inspect element feature on Google Chrome. If you haven't seen how this is done here is a video that will help: (Also note putting 'AA' at the end won't always work, if you hit 'Save crew' and it says 'failed' or 'unavailable colour' or something like that try either 'FF' or 'OO' <-- that's the letters OO not number zeros).
Now, I've got custom colours on quite a few of my cars but most of those have been taken from videos like the ones this guy makes^. So recently I've been trying my hand at making my own and this is where things start getting interesting.
Unfortunately the colour that you're looking at online on your screen is most likely not what you'll get ingame. I don't have a good way to explain this so I made a little experiment:
I went onto a hex colour website: www.color-hex.com/ and went to their Palettes section and found this:
I thought, "There were some pretty interesting colours here so I'll try them in game and see how they turn out". Here is what I found:
#0c7272FF
Surprising teal
#b27b61FF
Beige (I think)
#Ecb857AA
Pale yellow
#74b47cFF
A very subtle mint green
#69d0c8OO
Very beautiful light/baby blue
What we can see from that is the colours you get in game are much lighter than the vibrant colours you may be looking at on your screen.
That being said they are all very unique and I'll probably use all of them on a car at some point.
If you want a more vibrant colour you have to get a really dark shade of the colour you want then when it crosses over in the game it will be brighter.
You won't get anything like these by just using LSC colours so I recommend anyone that is interested to give this a go.
If you find any or already know of any colours worth sharing throw them down here with a picture to the code.
Happy colouring!
