Fellow Bullshifters, I am just informing the crew as a whole that I have been banned for 20 years. I have done nothing wrong, all I did was buy a shark card from G2A, a game website that has nice discounts etc. But, I am currently trying to work with Rockstar support to figure it all out. Hopefully I can get my account restored- but if not I am not sure if ill be buy a new copy of GTA V or not. I'm sorry if it comes to that but I think that its a bunch of bull. If i don't return to the realm of GTA Online I hope that to all i have played with and worked with you are amazing people! Much love to every Shifter out there. Jamie and Ed have one hell of a crew! I'll still be on the forums so don't think I'll be gone for good, just In-game. But I hope this can get all sorted out. Have a good day you guys. -Stained

Damn! That sucks man! I wouldn't think it was because of the shark card, as far as I know it's pretty common for people to buy them from G2A but who knows, maybe they flagged that large amount of money. Hopefully you have better luck with their support team than I've had in the past.

As Jamie above mentioned, I highly doubt it was just the shark card. I know lots of people who have bought shark cards from G2A/Kinguin/etc and have had no issues, so it might've been just a mess up from R*, since they seem to have those every now and then lol But hopefully you'll manage to get it solved!

If I can give you a tip: Don't give up and keep on replying to their answers, no matter how often u get the same answer. I once asked to change my characters appearance, and received 3 exactly similar answers from them even tho I told them I knew it works. The fourth answer was then successful. So just keep on replying in a nice way and you should get through to them sooner or later, but they might not tell you why it took them so long

Yeah, talking to Rockstar support is the internet equivalent of talking to yourself while drunk and beating your head into a wall.
I hope you get it sorted out man. It honestly wouldn't surprise me if they flagged an account over a legitimate purchase. As time has gone on, my trust in the company to perform competent action in any capacity has fallen heavily.

Yeah as it was with me, they changed the support people around. Seems like when someone doesn't know how to proceed further, they hand it to someone else who might know more but then doesn't

If it was buying from g2a it wouldn't be that weird. Various other games you can be banned for buying "second-hand keys" (guild wars 2 being one) because the sellers often use "illegal" keys. Would be interesting if R* started going this way, and I can see it with their recent push to get people to buy cards. 20 years though

3rd offense, I'm sure. First ban is two weeks. Second is, a month or two (I think) 3rd is the 20 years.

Here is a video about this issue. You're not the only one that had this happen to you. Go ahead and watch it. It also explains the three strike rule and what the strike rule is. Banned for 20 Years by NoughtPointFourLIVE

It seems to be attributed to not only modders, but people who even unknowingly, and unwillingly, were in a modded session. So it may not even be about the Shark card from G2A, it could be because you found yourself in a modded session fairly recently. I think it is safe to say we had another member of the Bullshifters run into this problem a few months back shortly before Lowriders update came, @jvsandhu. He was also banned for 20 years. So I would make a case and consider all possibilities of how this came about. I would contest the ban and continue to fight through the robot messages until you get an actual person looking into your case.
But if it does turn out to be from the Shark card, then it would be nice to be informed about changes to their EULA, since we are the consumers of their product.
I do hope that you are able to successfully contest the claim, it seems that with this recent ban wave, a lot of innocent players got caught in the broom.

Wondered why we hadn't seen ya around a lot. If you get the game again come back for sure man. I'm glad you had a good time hangin' out with us. The bear mask was getting to be a regular part of some of the meetups.
