I'd say, be glad you can't get into a public lobby now. From what I'm hearing in the chatter from GTAF, there is a new mod menu that can allow a modder/hacker to syphon a person's account by blowing up random cars that have an insurance cost of $65K and more. As well as put you in bad sport lobbies, and banning you straight up. Seems someone cracked the punishment features from R* and are now abusing them. Just another thing that could have been prevented with dedicated servers. If that really is true, R* needs to fix it ASAP. But hey, they won't. Maybe the trainers will be out of use for a day or two when the next update drops, but after that, they'll be back. I really do wish that the trainer makers would just stop making them. I seriously don't find it funny when some random duck decides to blow everybody in the server up and then just freeze them so they can't even move And the thing is that I don't have any problems with you if you're using a trainer to fix your car, spawn cars, whatever that you might do for yourself, but since it seems to be that everybody in public sessions just uses a trainer to mess with other people instead of just helping themselves out with free things. But, I assume that the idea behind the trainers is just to mess with other people and their games, instead of helping yourself. From what I heard before the massive ban wave a couple months back though, was that Infamous which was one of the most popular trainers at that time, got rid of the Freeze player, explode player, etc, commands and only allowed you to spawn cars and what not that couldn't really mess with other people. I'm not sure if that is still around because I don't really care about them but it seems to be that the trainer that most people are using at the moment is Jordan's, atleast I've seen multiple spawned vehicles that's license plate says "JORDAN" on it, so I assume that they're using Jordan's because why would anybody put their RL name/SC name on a plate of a vehicle that they'll be spamming across the map? Also, I agree with Jamie with the character switching. You would think that R* would've fixed it by now since it has been in the game since the release of the PC version but nope, they rather fix these useless wall breach glitches that give no benefit to the people who are using them. (You're not able to shoot out from them in most cases, so what's the point of fixing them?) What I find funny is menu makers denying any wrong-doing. "Oh yeah, I put that 'explode every object in the map and trap and repeatedly kill every player and crash their game and then block spawn points with windmills' option in it but it's not my fault people actually use it." "I dont make my menus for online. (but here's a convenient and very easy piece of code to bypass everything and make it work)"

I'm not sure about you, but I've had numerous occasions were I've been killed by someone using a wall breach glitch. So I'm glad R* is fixing those, though those breaches are small tomatoes at the moment. Here is a video for proof: Keep an eye on the top right of the screen.
As if that wasn't enough, here is a troll showing what trainer it is, and how it works.
Trolling at it's best (worst)...
In all seriousness, since there is very little evidence to catch the modder, R* has no inclination to do anything about lost money or you being in the bad sport pool, and from what I've seen on support, they will give you an automated response regarding the issue about saving the game and not blowing other people's cars up. A few are bypassing the system and calling R* directly. This is a major problem and it needs to be addressed. If it isn't, these trainer creators are just gonna get ballsier and find a way for individuals to enter invite only, solo, and other closed lobbies, just so they can do this to other players.
If you find you are in such a lobby, don't switch sessions as the changes will save, quit out of the game via task manager, and do it quick, as then it won't save to the cloud. Best of luck to you all.

This is why the only time I'm in a game with other players is when we have a meetup. Other then that I'm playing solo or with Milf. Most of my money still comes from soloing contact missions. After three years... that's pretty frustrating.

I'd actually pay for a DLC that just brings all of the online features to single player. Besides our meetups, that's basically the game I've been playing anyway. It'd be fun to choose one of the main protagonists to overwrite as well. They wouldn't need a new voice actor, just stick the dialogue in closed captioning at the bottom of the screen. Like GTA III all over again.
If Rockstar doesn't have their head out of their asses concerning online within the next year or so, I don't know how much of a future this game is going to have.

I agree. If the issues are not addressed seriously, I think the game will take a nosedive. Especially with the server issues getting worse and worse. But it seems R* doesn't care, or at least being held back by Take-Two Interactive (publishers have amazing power over development studies and what they should release). Mostly because a lot of the times the connection issues are passed on to the automated service which then blames the users connection, which is bullshit. Most of us have fairly decent connections, and I think I can speak for all of us when I say there has been a noticeable degradation of network connection on R*'s end. A major sign of why a Peer-2-Peer network does not work. It gets full of information to run the program, then it can't properly connect. Same with on CG consoles, the load times get progressively longer with each update. If this network isn't fixed soon, it will spell the end of GTA:O. People aren't going to hang around on a broken game that has all kinds of connection and security issues. Their two options at this point should be, shut it down for a few days to a week to migrate the network to something that has more integrity and security, or shut it down all together, since people will leave in droves if the issue is not fixed. If they want to keep the cash flowing (~$250M per year), they'll have to fix it soon, really soon.

The disturbing part to me is how little they seem to be aware of what is happening. I feel like the Rockstar devs don't play the game outside of their closed network tests within their own studio. If actual developers were taking part in this online experience with the rest of us filthy dregs I think you'd see it reflected in how tickets and general game problems were handled, and in how the fans were addressed concerning the issues with the title. As it stands the relationship from support towards the fanbase is totally condescending. Every fault is always assumed to be on the customers side and next to no investigation is done to prove otherwise. All of the burden is on the user. That's not how it should be.
I've brought up World of Warcraft on several occasions, and while I found that I didn't particularly care for that game, I do have to say that Blizzard support is amazing. They are the model of what support within a gaming community should be. Rockstar comes nowhere near that. I played Knights of the Old Republic for a while as well. Again excellent support akin to what Blizzard does. Anyone that's running a 24/7 game like this needs 24/7 support from competent staff that can not only talk to you, but if need be enter your game session and moderate. There is no other way to do it, especially when your software is so utterly welcoming to people looking to circumvent it's security measures.
Something has got to give here. Either the software needs to become bullet proof, or Rockstar needs to get some actual support staff. Ideally both with dedicated servers. If I get the kind of support and customer care that Blizzard provides I'll pay a monthly fee to support it. I think a lot of the fanbase would.

They just need a few modders with that trainer in their various livestreams, if even one of those modders is ballsy enough to screw around in the trainer and mess with all of them, it could show them that their system needs work. Not gonna lie, I thought about doing that myself if I had an alternate account. Because this shit is getting out of hand.

Actually, if Yan2295 form GTAF is to be believed then it will be just the Tornado coming to Benny's. Then the next week will be the Minivan, and then after that will be the Sabre Turbo. Oh, and 2 adversary modes added in as well. The first one seems a bit reminiscent of American Football called "Inch by Inch" seems to come with cut facepaints. Would not be surprised as draft picks in the NFL is coming up soon, which means practice time for teams to start. Another adversary mode will be coming either in April or May called "In and Out". Not sure what it is though.
There is speculation R* is doing all these filler stuff for a massive update coming around E3 in June. Who really knows.
