Crew Logo/Crew Colors

Hello.

So as you may have noticed the crew logo has changed a couple of times. I recently got a bug up my ass to try some variations on the classic Bullshifters logo. Unfortunately this came at a time when Social Club decided that it would no longer recognize images with a transparency layer. At the moment it is not possible for us to revert to our original logo without gaining some unattractive white triangles in the corners of the image. From what I gather Rockstar is aware of the issue with Social Club and are "working" tirelessly, I'm sure to "fix it". In instances like these, I put words in quotations when I don't actually believe what I'm saying. Maybe we'll see the crew emblems working again. Maybe we wont.

It's received no attention from Rockstar, of course. If you'd like to spam topics on their forum be my guest. Post a link to the topic here when you do and we'll stop by to comment and upvote.

In the meantime I tried to put something together that fills in the background so we don't have that pure white nastiness staring at us in the game.
Tried to give it a whiskey label kind of a look.





When I was going to create this topic originally I was going to leave three choices here for crew labels. I think we'll have to put off voting until the labels actually work properly on Social Club. However, so far as I know we can still change crew colors to whatever we like. Would anyone like to put forward ideas for a new crew color, or are we happy with the red that we currently have?

Crew emblem looks good for now.. and I am all for a vote on which one we all think is best.
As for crew colours, my vote is for Pure Black. I have it on one or two of my cars and I showed it to Devil one time and he went and put it on most of his black cars.
It's pretty easy to use if anyone wants to test it for themselves.. It's code is #000000AA and make the pearl colour black.
It's better than the default black because there's no white/silver tint to it.

This color is really good on muscle cars, again when I talked to Ed about this, he raised one point that the fact that color is used also to show crew members in the mini map. I don't think black would be an eye catching color for crew members in the minimap.

That's a pretty good point, but it used to be dark blue before the red we have now and that wasn't impossible to see.
Like the emblem, I say we give it a go and see how we like it. If it ends up not being great or another colour comes up then we can change it. An new colour every month or so might not be the worse idea either.

i dont think the pure black crew color can be set anymore unless you did it long ago and still have it as your crew color it didten work for me when i tryed it on my own crew some time ago so i had to go and find a crew that had it already and then join it while adding the color to my black cars

The crew color should be pure black now. We still can't use transparency on our crew logo though.

Given that we can't transparency I took another stab at a square logo...

New week, new logo (sort of) I liked the design on the last one but I feel like it didn't pop quite enough. I think this one will look good on crew t-shirts. I've put a ticket in for the social club transparency issue as well as the issue with crew logos being attached to garage slots. No reply from Rockstar as of yet.

Received this reply today... kind of surprises me that I received a reply from Tier 1 support about the social club transparency issue before anyone has bothered to get back to me about an actual problem with the game itself. Take what I can get though, I guess.

I had a similar issue when trying to explain the crew emblem bug to one of their support staff. She kept linking me to a thread about problems publishing a crew emblem to a crew.. nothing to do with my issue.

What I take from this is either they know what we're talking about and have no idea how to fix it or have no intention to fix it OR they just refuse to accept this is an issue. Either way, it doesn't look good for people like us that want this bug fixed and don't see why it seems to be so difficult for them.

Received an additional reply from Rockstar just now about the crew emblems. I was directed to this support article here: support.rockstargames.com/hc/en-us/articles/202110326

So apparently it is a known issue. Just had to twist their arm a bit to get it confirmed.

It appears to have been fixed finally. We have our original crew logo back with transparency. I think I'll leave it alone now.
