The salt is real on the Newswire. But I can see why. Them saying to use a secondary character for more garage space seems to be a sign of things to come, or lack there of. Quite a few of us already have full garages on both characters too. Just feels like a slap in the face really.

I actually sold a bunch of my cars. Made some choices. I took a look at the vehicles as a whole package... Do I like the look? - Yes, do I like the performance? - No. = Car gone. Car didn't have the full package. Some decisions were made on things like engine noise. The Blade for example is a really cool car in GTA. Gasser style, nose sits high, etc. However the engine noise is the most generic boring monotonous sound in the game. Which meant I didn't really enjoy driving it that much, which meant it just sat around collecting virtual GTA dust. So I sold it. I went through all of my garages and I got rid of quite a bit. I'm down to having around 26 vehicles now including the ones I purchased with this update.
Part of the culling also had to do with getting a handle on the crew emblem glitch in my garages as well. It doesn't feel like Rockstar is going to get around to fixing it. I've had some interesting successes with getting the emblem to disappear from garage slots. I say interesting because unfortunately it seems a bit random. I think I might go ahead and write up a bit on that in a new thread though.

I'd probably do this, but performance isn't a big part for me. It is more about owning at least one of each brand and set of gauges, along with overall aesthetics. After that, it is off for customization, which takes up to an hour or so before I'm happy with the combo, that is if I didn't have the luxury of customizing the car before hand to create a template I wanted. Then it is off to the races to build up funds to add top performance mods to my cars. Needless to say I'm very attached to the ones I already have. But I'm not really offended by the Newswire, just a bit disappointed they went that route. Both of my characters have full garages and both have different style. My primary is more about power and racing, while my secondary is more about classy and cruising cars. Now with the logo, I managed to rid all of my vehicles, except for one, of the logo. I really don't know how I did it, and the only one it came back on was on my Innovation, and that was gone for about 2 months before reappearing. I'm not sure what I did, but whatever it was it reset the garage slot. |
