This will be a test run of the closed crew session feature to determine its viability for future meets. The hope is anyone will be able to schedule a calender event here at the forums and end up with bodies in a crew session at the designated time for whatever planned activity that individual may have. The hope is (once again) that any member will be able to schedule and run a meet at whatever time suits them. The crew will more then less "run itself". There will still be consequences for those who do not follow proper conduct for the crew. Any continuous violation of our rules may be reported to me (Ed.Venture at Social Club) and I will take the appropriate action in regards to reprimands. Again at this point all of this is a concept, but if this is something we can pull together to get working I think it will eliminate a lot of the inherent issues that currently come with meetups. Thanks!

I think it would be neat to have a weekly meetup for those interested in doing so. Something like a meet on a Saturday/Sunday. Mostly informal until a bigger meet is setup.

Well we found out that in some instances invites are still required. The theory was that Rockstars match making would just join the player to the proper session as soon as they logged into the closed crew session. That wasn't always the case. However, it's still an improvement as individual players can join the host without having to receive an invite from that host. So that should eliminate a lot of the problems with both the tutorial glitch, and also management of who is online for the host's part. I think we will be sticking with closed crew sessions from now on for our meets. It's just way easier.

We need meetups ad different timezone's. The US-central timezone meetup is usually a pain for me to join. Living in Europe.

Yes MistertheGiant, I agree, Living in Australia. Would a 9 am EDT, weekend timeslot work for you?

That would fit the bill fine. I use this website to convert any timezones with ease. Could come in handy for more people: www.worldtimebuddy.com/

The calendar also shows you the time in your time zone. I can't host for a few weeks so for the moment I'm just figuring out what times have the most interest. Specifically for the non-US countries.

I haven't seen a option for me to select a timezone on the forum. We only have all day events right now. So I can't check if this is the case.

There isn't an option to select it, you're right, but I checked it for this meet and it was converted into my time zone. We should see some more events up there soon so you can check then.
