Well, I've been trying to get in. I've tried joining crew members in the session, but I keep getting a "game memory error", so I don't know if I'll be coming or not. Ed had to do some caulking in the garage and we're hoping to get on as soon as he's done wit that and have my game issue fixed. :-(

Future meets may end up being sans weapons. As time has gone on these meets are getting more out of hand. I would have thought that the opposite would be true. We may end up with more rules as a result.
No fault of Lassy's though. We all had fun hanging out.

Sorry I left suddenly, my internet just stopped working and we only just got it back now :/ As far as the trouble makers go, Lassy was really trying her best to keep everyone under control but the problem was no-one was listening.. I think we might need a listen to the host at all times rule.

Would be pretty hectic to imagine what happened even before the races took place.

Sorry I left suddenly, my internet just stopped working and we only just got it back now :/ As far as the trouble makers go, Lassy was really trying her best to keep everyone under control but the problem was no-one was listening.. I think we might need a listen to the host at all times rule. Yeah it's a shame that it might have to come to that. Giving all attention to and complying with the host of any event should just be common sense amongst everyone. If you're being disruptive and not listening to the host you shouldn't be there at all and quite frankly I believe shouldn't be a part of this crew in general. I like that people put the base amount of effort into showing up to these things but the immaturity and ignorance that seems to come as a result is unnecessary. Most folks are just fine but it's the few odd apples that cause tension within the group. I know we had that one (now ex) member today but people shouldn't be joining the session (unless they're late or w/e) without a clue as to what's happening, what type car to bring, and where everyone is. If we could get a solid group of people that share Ed's vision and mentality for the crew and weed out the troublemakers I think we'd have ourselves a grand old time, and with a member count just shy of 500 I don't know why we're not maxing out the player count for sessions with dedicated, compliant, and friendly members for meets scheduled weeks in advance. People take the time to set up, prepare, and host these events and should be shown respect while being able to enjoy themselves rather than stressing over the behavioural issues that seem to come up more often than they should. I know I have no authority around here so please let me know if I am overstepping any boundaries or if I'm just over reacting but that's just my rant for the day. I'd like to see some set rules and enforcement of the overall culture and ideology that guides this crew or just some input from figures of authority on where the crew is headed in terms of such things. -Toreno

Not over stepping at all. I think discussion on this from multiple view points is likely to be the best way to determine how we would like to proceed moving forward.
When these meets started, the crew was open recruitment (as crews generally are when you kick them off). To fill meets I ran topics out of GTAForums. All of the big ones that we had prior to the Social Club feature were always packed with 20 to 30 people and they honestly seemed to go better then what we are starting to see as common place here. Less explosions and a lot less "oops I didn't mean to do that". My fault in the issue is I generally hate rules. I like to just let things happen and I try to put faith forward that most of us share the same mentality of what this crew is about when we get together. Nobody likes someone peering over their shoulder and shaking their finger saying "no-no, don't do that! This is scripted fun!" - and so, our rules are pretty straight forward and are often bent a bit. Unfortunately it's gotten to the point where the liberties I've been allowing to happen are taking over the event. Today when I got to the airfield nobody could show a vehicle even if they wanted to, it was chaos. Hardly any drags could be had. It was all "something exploded, whoops". We might as well have been in a public lobby and if that's the case then the whole point of the crew has been completely defeated.
Like I said already, I'm mulling over introducing a rule banning weapons from the meets. I mean the whole idea here is simple. Park your car and show it. If you're not showing your vehicle line up for drags, or go for a cruise. Nothing involving spawning in huge models or flying super low over everyone's parked vehicles, or even driving as fast as you can towards everyone's parked vehicles should be a thing that is happening. Respect the event and give people space. If you had too much sugar and just can't sit still because the event isn't holding your attention, maybe you are in the wrong crew. Regardless, have respect for the effort that the host has put into their meetup and for the effort that people have put into their vehicles. Take the potential hazards somewhere else. I can't be all eyes in all places, so if you see a member that doesn't cut the shit after being politely asked to, give me their name.
As for our member count, that number is high. I'm making cuts within the week. We have a decent number in the crew not on PC. We evidently also have a portion of inactives as well. I've messaged the membership about this forum back in June. Of the 482 members social club says we have, we only have 121 signed up here... which still is a respectable number considering these forums are only around two months old. I'm not too concerned about the meets not always reaching 30 people though. You can have a fun get together with 15 or so, and we are consistently hitting about that number.
::EDIT:: I went ahead and made some new rules. Any questions or concerns regarding them, feel free to bring them to my attention.

This was the first time I've seen a meet this bad.. most get a little crazy but that's after people get tired of the drags, last night something else was up with people. Guess we'll have to see how mine goes next weekend. I'll be on mic to try and stay more in control, and will have more planned activities so there's no, "So what now?" type comments which fuel the chaos. I should also say well done to LassyKongo for handling it as well as she did. We understand the amount of effort that's involved in hosting a meet with 20+ people, It was just a shame we had a few people that couldn't help ruining it for everyone.
