After playing the OA trial for a few hours: I have to say that the game looks absolutely beautiful and it has been optimized really well, I haven't seen it go below 60FPS at all and I'm running everything maxed out, and that is a rare thing to see in most games nowadays ;D However, a few small things seem to be missing from the PC trial, but I guess those are just not there for the trial but will be there for the full game, I hope atleast. The things that are missing are the Hot Rods, Photo Mode, license plate customization, gas station/police station blips on the map and the ability to repair your car at a gas station. The console versions have all of those, but like I mentioned, I guess they'll be there for the full version. I also noticed that there was quite a lot of lag with other players, but that might've been just my internet

The things that are missing are the Hot Rods Life is over. Do you know if the progress you make in the game during the trial is carried over to the full version once you are able to download it? I'm thinking about picking up the trial today.

From what I've heard, the Hot Rods, Photo Mode, etc, will be coming in an ingame update a week (or so) after the release of the PC version (so I guess around a week from 15th). I'm not sure if this is true or not, but I hope it's true if the features/items are not there with the full release

It was meant as a joke, fellas. Anyway my PC had other plans. It decided that yesterday was the day to upgrade from Windows 7 to 10. It decided this without my input. I was browsing the web and then all of the sudden my PC rebooted and I was greeted with the Windows 10 upgrade status screen. Apparently Microsoft was having no more of my putting it off. I decided that I'd just let it happen, and I took off to take care of a few things... I came back to an error screen. Somehow my SSD crashed while the update was happening. I went into the BIOS and I couldn't see the drive. So I shut down, wiggled a few cables and lo and behold it came back. I don't know if the drive is near fuct (I bought it in 2011) or if my cabling is getting sketchy. Either way, due to the failed install I had to format and re-install 7. As a result I'm going to also need to re-install everything else. Good times. Luckily most of my "oh shit I can't lose this!" data was on my D: and E: drives. So it was unaffected. It's just going to be a minute before I have this all straightened out.

That sucks. But I do know why it did sudden;y decide to upgrade. Microsoft has put Windows 10 in recommended updates for the automatic updates in Windows Update. Kinda strong arming there aren't we Microsoft? Anyways, I hope everything works out.

I got it sorted. I've got another disk that I want to format but I have most of my data back where it's supposed to be and everything relevant has been restored. I went and bought an new SSD just to be on the safe side (it was due, my current SSD was 5 years old). The drive is a little bigger and a little faster, so it's not all bad. Went ahead and threw GTA onto it. I was also going to install Need For Speed to it... I was assuming I could choose to install games to a separate drive from where I installed Origin (you can with Steam). Apparently you can't, or at least I was never given an option to, so NFS is going on the mechanical drive. Oh well. I'm Installing NFS now.
Finally got Windows 10 though. I used M$ media creator tool and my 7 license to create a USB stick with a fresh Windows 10 install on it. After I threw 7 on my old SSD and registered that license with M$ I just did a fresh 10 install on the new SSD.
So far there are things I like, and things I don't. If 7 wasn't going out of it's support cycle soon I don't think I'd have bothered to upgrade.

You can choose the folder where Origin installs games to in Origin -> Application Settings -> Advanced Also, glad you got the problem solved!
