The update for the PC version is live! It was about 745MB (atleast for me).
I couldn't find a changelog for the update but I assume that the new features that happened on the console versions are here on the PC version as well now:
Hot Rods update - 2 new hot rods (F1 & regular) - Drag Races - The Warehouse - Wrap Editor Improvements - New achievements
Showcase update - Snapshot Pro (Photo Mode) - Wrap Sharing - More custom parts for multiple different cars such as BMW M3 E92, 2015 Mazda MX-5, Nissan 180sx & Nissan Silvia Spec-R - License plate customization - Gas stations - New achievements
The new achievements are called Climbing the Ranks, Drag Queen, Filter Addict, Kustom Kar, Wrap Artist and Wrap It Up.

NFS is going to be getting a new update on Wednesday, source. It features Speedlists, new achievements, a Prestige Mode, new activities and also some changes made to the Daily Challenges award decals! At first I thought they were bringing back the old speedtrap races from Most Wanted and Carbon and got excited. But afterward, I realized it was more of a playlist type thing... Anyways, always glad to hear about new stuff coming for NFS, it is probably the series I've sank the most hours into.

The update is now live!
The new Prestige mode can be accessed via an app on your phone once Travis has called you twice, and the Speedlists can be accessed from the main menu when you're choosing the type of server to join. The new activities can be found around the map, there seems to be about 10 of each, so 20 in total.
I gave the Prestige mode a try, and there seems to be 5 races for each character in the game + one last race that will 'choose' the king of the city. Apparently there's also quite a lot of REP up for grabs along with a pretty nice payout after completing all of the races, not really sure how much it is but atleast that is what Travis mentioned while he was talking about the mode. Although, I noticed that going for the Gold medal in those races is extremely difficult, you need to have a car that handles perfectly in order to get the Gold medal as every second counts in these. In my opinion, the times for the Gold medal are a little bit too hard. I understand that it's supposed to be a challenge but I think they should've added a few more seconds onto them to atleast make them somewhat reachable on a regular car that beats everything in every other race, especially since the AI in this game is left far behind during these Prestige races ;P Although, the 'default' races in the game are ridiculously easy, they have never been hard if you just have a proper car, so I do understand that they wanted to make these new races a little bit more challenging ;D. (Also, just a FYI, they're not new. They're just reusing the old races with new AI racing with you, which is fine since those races are good)
I just tried the Speedlists as well, and it's exactly what you can except. A huge lag mess, just like the races that we did in the NFS meetup a while back. Good thing that the AI was disabled though, atleast I didn't see any AI cars roaming around the city. The Speedlists basically are 5 races with 8 players (real people) racing against each other in circuit, sprint and drift races. You get 25 points for winning one race in the Speedlist, and at the end of the Speedlist the Top 3 players will receive $40k and some amount of REP. The vehicle choice is also up to the player, I think you can arrive there in a stock Volvo 242 with no modifications and be against fully modified Lamborghini Aventador's if you don't happen to have anything better. I think the idea is pretty damn awesome, but the massive lag issues make it really hard to enjoy, unless you get lucky and manage to avoid all of the crashes in the start of the race and manage to keep in front of the pack. Another thing that I would love to see added is the ability to create private Speedlists (atleast I wasn't able to find anything related to this) so that you and your friends could do these on your own!
Overall though, the update is really damn good. It adds quite a lot of new things to do, especially with the Prestige Mode and the new activities scattered around the map!
