Crew Emblem Cannot Be Removed From Vehicle

So this has been happening for a while. I have several vehicles that I'd like to remove the crew emblem from that I still can't get it off of. It's been going on since at least just after the Ill Gotten Gains update. I actually just submitted a bug report with Rockstar about it.

What just pushed it over the edge for me was that I finally broke down and bought a T20 today. The game all on it's own actually decided to apply the emblem to the car, and of course now I'm stuck with it on there. Anyone else having the issue? I'm thinking of making a thread on the Rockstar support site for this as well. It'd be cool if we could get a bunch of us in there to pitch a bitch.

Yep, there's a bunch of cars I want it off too.
When I bought my Tailgater I never thought I put it on but sure enough, there it is and no way of getting it off!

That's odd, I was able to do it on my moonbeam after I bought it because the emblem was on with it.

its true that you couldnt remove crew emblems awhile back but you should be able to now by reclicking the crew emblem option in los santos custom and it should be removed dunno if the cars with crew logos from before they made it so you can remove crew emblems are bugged or not

I had the same issue with most of my cars. I was able to get them removed on all of them and only one came back (my Innovation). So, it can be done, I just am not sure how I did it last time...

From what I understand as well, it seems the Crew logo is tagged to garage spots as brand new vehicles can sometimes be spawned with them, especially if they are taking a spot previously held by a vehicle that had the logo before it was either replaced or sold.

Hmm I must be the lucky one as I can remove the emblem with out it reappearing. I wasn't even aware of this issue. In any case I have found a possible fix on Youtube which has mixed results but has worked for the majority www.youtube.com/watch?v=WgYlnaY7Pd0

Edit: Some people are also having luck removing it via the iFruit App

2nd Edit: Other possible fixes: Add and remove the crew logo in LSC several times then finally remove the logo. Leave LSC and immediately destroy your vehicle and switch sessions

Another possible fix:

1. Drive car to LSC

2. Removings logo

3. Drive car back to ur apartment personel garage

 Low Riders Possible fix: Remove logo and hover mouse over a new livery then exit garage.

Yet Another possible fix:

I found that if I was able to get the logo off, drive around outside LSC and smash up the vehicle a bit, returned to LSC and repaired it, then took it to the garage and drive it in that it would stay gone.
The key is to get that orange spinning save icon in the bottom right corner after exiting LSC both times, and once more at the garage it would stay gone.
It's all about the save icon.
I was able to switch sessions, and even switch accounts with no issues.

Hopefully one of these should work!

I'll have to give some of those a shot. I can get the logo off of the vehicle for the session I am currently in. I have to enter and exit LSC several times, however as soon as I switch sessions, the logo is back on the car.

I had this same issue on my Roosevelt a few months back, but I managed to fix it by doing what Ashy mentioned (LSC -> Remove the emblem -> drive back to the garage) but after driving it into the garage, I went outside and had my Mechanic bring the car to me. (Driving the car back into the garage and leaving it there, only fixed the emblem issue in that session. After switching sessions, the emblem was back)

I also just found this at GTAF...

Remove it, it should pop back up, go to license plate, back out, it should disappear, exit LSC.

At least, that's how I manage to get the thing off of my cars when it got stuck.

The trick is to get it to disappear, and once it pops back up again while you're in LSC and then switch some options about until it goes away and you are able to leave the shop. Then just do something that saves your progress.

As soon as I can manage to get some game time I'll start messing with solutions. I'll let you guys know if I find anything that works.

im kinda having a similar problem with my hotknifes fenders i wanted to put the hood on it again and just remove the fenders and that works like it use to but when i log in again it has the fenders on again. 

the crew emblem for me can be removed by buying it again then it gets taken off and stays off.

They patched the ability to be able to glitch the body parts off. I used to do the same thing with mine. Though it never completely worked. The fenders would only be removed for your game. Anyone in a meetup would still see fenders on the car.

Yeah, I just tried all of these and then some. No dice. If I leave the game and come back, so does the emblem.

Pro tip- If you want to destroy your T20 without paying insurance, drive it into a gas pump.

::EDIT:: - Actually I should note that I haven't tried the iFruit app yet. That thing is a pain in the ass. I tried the rest of them. I was feeling pretty confident about the Mos Mutual method since that requires the game to re-load the vehicle. Sure enough when it reloaded in the session it didn't have the logo on it. But as soon as I switched it came right back. (though now as I re-read this method it looks like I am to leave the session and then call Mors Mutual - I'll attempt this again.) I also tried the method of taking it back to the garage immediately after getting rid of it. Then I tried a variation of that where I switch which garage slot it would save in before I drove it back from LSC by exiting the car and going into my garage on foot, then switching around the cars in my garage. Nothing seems to keep it off.

Ed.Venture I have scoured over the interweb for other fixes but not found anything at all promising. Only other information I could find is that this only effects a 'select few' similar to the freeze lag issue that is only experienced for a select few. This bug came about around v1.17 when they fixed the crew emblem disappearing.. R* answer to emblems vanishing from vehicles is to basically weld the emblem to all your vehicles.

There is a 'promising' fix for console's which is to clear the system cache and go through the pain of reinstalling all the patches again.

Thanks Ashy_GB I appreciate you having a look around. I'm at work now so I won't be making any more attempts at removing the logo until this evening.

I am still browsing around the web though. I'll post what I find here so I can kind of keep a log. Maybe we'll get a working method... I was actually so desperate to be rid of it last night that I just saved a blank image as the crew logo for my dummy crew that I created to edit colors with.

I think they've tried to fix it because I found a method, today, that actually works.



In LSC, go to respray and remove the emblem - it will show as being removed. Back out but not the top level - stay in primary/secondary/crew logo and go to primary. Respray and then exit as normal. This worked for me earlier today on 2 vehicles. The key is NOT to back out to the main menu after removing the emblem, or it will come back. You must respray *after* removing the emblem.



Just to be on the safe side, when you leave LSC you shouldn't be able to see the emblem, so take your vehicle back to your garage, drive it in and drive something else out.



This worked even after a session change, unlike previous methods.

A friend and I played about with this one day. He still has the emblem but I got rid of it from my Brawler. I removed the emblem then resprayed the vehicle, then took it back to my garage. I left it in there and drove something else for the rest of the day. It's been gone ever since and that was weeks ago.



I can't tell you the reason why it worked for me and not him, but that's all I did.

I had the same problem the dam thing just reappears over & over but here's how i got rid of the emblem permanently so try it as it may work for you.



Go into paint & remove it. The emblem may disappear but don't let that fool you it's still there & will come back if you leave the garage. Instead go straight into classic & change the colour of the car to the first option (black) then into metallic & change colour again you can pick any it doesn't seem to matter. Go back into emblem & make sure it's no longer selected if it is deselect it again. Now leave the garage & it should be gone forever.

hmn i guess ill sell my hotknife then i never liked the fenders on it.

So you remove it, then buy it again and remove it?

 
what i meant was that when i have it on my car i then buy it again and it gets removed.
i havent noticed if it takes money to remove it seeing as there isent an option that says none under crew emblem in los santos customs i bought it as a mistake awhile ago for a car and so i just tryed clicking the option that adds the emblem to your car again and it removed it from the car.
