With next week’s release of GTA Online: Lowriders for PS4, Xbox One and PC – lovers of cars and customization all across Los Santos and Blaine County will have a suite of brand new options and a new place to go get them. Introducing Benny’s Original Motor Works, a new customs shop in downtown Strawberry that offers a huge range of lowrider customizations that can turn your classic junker into a high-spec, tricked-out king of the streets. Visit Benny’s website via the shortcut on your in-game phone to choose from a half-dozen select customizable vehicles – then bring them down to the man himself for an upgrade that unlocks new custom lowrider mods. Deck out your engine block with covers and air filters, coat your interiors with velour, leather and patterns, choose custom colors and designs for your dials, or add a new steering wheel and custom shift levers. Give your ride lift with hydraulics - the more powerful the pumps, the higher you can bounce. And boost your stereo’s performance with new speakers and subs in the back. Then, meet up with friends and fellow car enthusiasts to show off your new rides – use the Player Interaction Menu while inside or outside the car to open up the vehicle doors, hood and trunk, switch on the engine to flash your neons and bump your favorite radio station for all to admire. Crew car shows are about to go next level. And keep an eye out for calls and texts from Lamar – he’s making moves of his own through a series of new missions and he’s going to need your help. You’ll want to hit up your trusted allies, wheelmen, and sharpshooters for backup too, as things are going to get hectic. Get stocked with the fully automatic Machine Pistol or Machete from Ammu-Nation. The upwardly mobile can also expand their garage space and fleet of vehicles with the addition of the oft-requested fourth purchasable property. There’s also tons of new clothing, hair and accessory options as well as 3 new Adversary Modes and more. GTA Online: Lowriders arrives for PS4, Xbox One and PC as an automatic update on Tuesday, October 20th. See more screens from next week’s update below. Benny’s garage in the Strawberry neighborhood of South Los Santos is the place to go for Lowrider customization. Taking on enemies in the stylish Albany Primo Custom. Give your Lowrider hydraulics and make it bounce all across Los Santos. Trick out everything from paint jobs to stereos and plaques.

The customization that you're able to do to the lowriders looks amazing And of course the new cars that we're going to be getting with this update! Also, the 4th garage and open your hood, trunk, etc things is going to be a really nice touch to the future car meets!

I am hoping this is the start of adding more customization for all cars. Things I'm excited about from this update: - Un-rusted Voodoo (love a late-50s Impala)
- A 4th garage (though these slots are already taken for my backorder cars on my wishlist)
- Customization (or rather the potential of the customization of other cars in the game)
- Lamar Missions (seriously looking forward to this, as I though Lamar missions were pretty good, was disappointed when I learned he had the least amount of missions available and all were very low level)
- New interaction menus! Gone are the days of shooting your cars to shit to open doors, hoods and trunks and looking like a fool diving in and out of your car just to keep the lights on. Now you can do this much simply through the menu, should make our meets even more interesting.
- Could always use new weapons.
I'm not one for low-riders (though I do like using the highest suspension option in the game), mostly because of the stanced look (too much camber) and partly for the over-the-top interiors (appreciate more of a minimalist interior) but this could be because I grew up working Racecars and Muscles. I am however liking the potential this system has for other forms of customization. Hopefully we will see in the near future a Hotrod/Drag update (Big Blocks, minimized interiors, more involved rollcages, and some awesome muscle tuning and graphics), a Tuner/Drift update (Stylized bodykits [Widekites, wings, hoods, etc.], Graphics customization, more involved tuning), and a Euro/Touring update (Massive Top speed upgrades, sleek and clean body mods, GT body mods, and more mods for the Sport Classics like the Stinger GT, Monroe, and JB 700). I am liking the clean Voodoo, which was slated to be in the base game, and am quite excited about it as it is based off one of my favorite late-50s cars, the Chevy Impala. Hoping the 4th property allows more storage than just 10 cars, though I am doubtful, because I do have 40 cars in my wishlist that I'd like to have before adding any other update cars. If it is just 10 that still takes 10 off my wishlist, and I may have a sport bike available before the Motorcycle meet next weekend. Lamar missions, can't wait! These were some of my favorite in the game, to me they seemed very well balanced in terms of difficulty. And, because of that, I had a ton of fun, albeit the pay-outs were very minimal. New Weapons, cool, liking the look of the machine pistol, and it looks like something I'd use in Fallout. The Machete, just another melee weapon I'll probably hardly ever use. And the Interaction menus are going to give some amazing looks to our meets. Now we can show off the outside, the inside, and the heart of our machines. Also, does anybody else have the feeling that R* got the idea from the mods that people make for the game? If they did, they probably should do that more often, ones that don't screw the balance of the game that is. As most people make mods in a game for things they feel the core game is lacking in. If they do this, they would be kinda like Bethesda, Mojang, and Bungie in that regard and use those mod ideas to better help improve their core game. This way these ideas are much more stable and are less likely to give you malware. Nobody likes malware. That's all my thoughts on this update. Like I said, I may not like low-riders, but I do like the potential for future ideas this one could support. So overall, I am pretty excited about it, and can't wait to test it out.

I really can't wait for our meets post-update. I wonder how loud music will be when playing it from the trunk speakers? I remember trying to listen to music from my PV at our pool party in Vinewood, I'm not sure it was even playing for anyone but me.

Yeah we did have a helicopter flying around at the same time though Haha But yes I do agree with everyone! This is going to be awesome!! Clean Voodoo, one of the things I've been wanting since I found the rusted one, (prior to me joining the Bullshifters even). Also haven't really been impressed with the two new muscle cars added in the IGG updates, hopefully this will give them more appeal to me. Obviously the 4th garage is something everyone that plays GTAO has wanted for a very long time so I'm glad R* is finally doing it. (Now we just need those mansions) Drops the night before a uni exam Might not be able to hang out with everyone the day it comes out but I look forward to catching up with everyone in the days afterwards and seeing what you've all come up with

We should have an informal meet on Tuesday to play with our new toys together. No list or anything, just a first-come-first-serve crew session, with a thread in Meetups to let everyone know when it's happening. I'd do it myself if I weren't on a shitty tablet until Saturday night.

I'd do it myself if I weren't on a shitty tablet until Saturday night. I mentioned that in the shout box but it got bumped out pretty quick. The best way I can see this happening is get on the Teamspeak, grab a GTA channel and jump in a crew session then when someone new joins the Teamspeak tell them to join your game. I'll try make it but like I also said in the shout box, I have a uni exam the next day.. but still, I'll try! ::EDIT:: Anyone know what car is on the left of the convertible Buccaneer in that last photo???

Anyone know what car is on the left of the convertible Buccaneer in that last photo??? Looks very much like a Faction. Opening doors, hood, trunk with interaction menu - hell yes! Engine launch too. Paintjobs and thus more ways to play with car colors and combos - hell yes! 4th garage - hell yes! And lowrider stuff in general is just awesome. I hope it will be available in SP too - testing all that in Online only can be pretty expensive. Imagine what people will be able to do in machinimas now with all that stuff - some underground lowrider meets, or F&F style stuff. If those speakers are adding a real boost in sound - even better!

So just prowling along on the GTA wiki, and found an entry for the Lowrider UpdateReading through, it may be possible that the customization may extend much further than just the Primo, Buccaneer, Faction, Chino, Voodoo, and Tornado(?). Mostly from the wording of the addition of Hydros as "specifically lowriders." But this text is nowhere else on the list of customizations, so it could be that we may be seeing an even bigger custom package than previously thought. If so, that would be fracking awesome. If not, then the update still shows potential for further updates like this one.

Exactly my thoughts.. maybe a tuner garage, custom choppers (bikes), off-road, my be even air vehicles (would be awesome but probably not )

This means 80 storable cars (40 per character)! I'm feeling spoiled already. But I love it!

I saw this pic on Facebook, is this also a part of the update?
